Klingande

Cédric Steinmyller

Cédric Steinmyller (“Klingande”) describes his own music as “melodic house.” Appreciated in equal measure for his unique instrumentation (specifically his use of saxophone, vocals, piano and drums) and his light, “tropical” melodic lines, it’s hard not to feel uplifted, inspired, renewed and transformed when listening to a Klingande track. The artist’s stage name, as well as some of his songs, are Swedish in origin, despite his French cultural roots. According to Steinmyller, Swedish sounds the same when being sung as when spoken. “Klingande” is the present participle of the Swedish verb (att) klinga, which means ‘(to) chime’ or ‘(to) sound’.
